Hello, and welcome on www.stanwellmoor.affari.to . This little website has been launched on 20th May, 2015, with the aims of providing a) an area for discussion regarding the future, the present and the past of Stanwell Moor, a village near Heathrow Airport, and b) a place for me to publish pictures and personal opinions/recollections/stories about the village and its surroundings.
I have been living in Stanwell Moor since 2003, with a 4-year interruption in which I lived abroad. The main theme I will be exploring in this website is the future of the village itself, since the proposed expansion of Heathrow Airport, with the construction of a third runway, could help the village grow, or destroy it permanently.
